SME goes Live!
October 06, 2009
We are proud to showcase our first of six Daily WebTV mini-episodes, speaking to the Hamilton, Halton, and Mississauga Region over the next year.
Erika is featured in our first episode, speaking on sewing for and with your kids. If you listen you will hear Rebecca in the sling, and watch for Annelise picking out sewing patterns.
There will also be a region-wide Contest for a Sewing Room and other Special Offers, so be sure to visit DailyWebTV.com often and keep an eye open for these future developments.
Changes in Operation
October 02, 2009
A few things have and will be changing in how our business is operated, both here in Burlington and at head office.
Though the ownership of the store has changed, Bert and Elsa's presence in the store has not. I just wanted to reassure everyone that Bert will still be working his magic on all your sewing machines, and continuing to bring the best machine service in the area to all our customers. Elsa will also continue to working at the store, using her never ending skills to both support the sales role in the store, but more importantly the educator role. If you want to visit, they will normally be in the store Wednesday and Friday, otherwise they'll be back in the new home unpacking boxes and enjoying the semi-retired life!
The bigger news that is brewing are the changes to Husqvarna Viking Canada. These changes are limited to just the distribution element here in Canada. Though the final details are far from complete, I want to reassure everyone that Husqvarna Viking is not "going under," but instead is only restructuring how they move product around North America. Shipping times will change a little, but by moving their distribution in Canada and Mexico to their U.S. site, Husqvaran Viking is ensuring long term stability and continued efforts to keep their products affordable. The office here in Ontario will continue to operate its service, marketing, education, and dealer support programs, ensuring the excellent Husqvarna Viking experience will continue for all Canadians.
Here at SewEtc we are excited about these changes, and respect the professionalism with which Husqvarna Viking has addressed this issue with its dealers. We are still going to offer the same products in the same SewEtc manner and enjoy the new strength Husqvarna Viking will find in its development and distribution of all its quality products.
So with that said, I invite everyone to communicate these words to their friends, by forwarding this email or posting to the forums they frequent. This article will also be posted on the news section of our website. Please direct any questions you may have to me and I will continue to work with all the SewEtc family to make our store the place for your Creativity to Bloom.
