Recommended Service Frequency

Usage: Use your machine more than 3 times a week Frequency: Service once every 6 months

Usage: Use your machine more than 5 times a month Frequency: Service once every 12 months

Usage: Use your machine less than 10 times a year Frequency: Service once every 24 months

Basic = Less than 2 years since last service and/or minor parts replacement. Includes 3 month warranty on service. Parts required are not included in service price.

Premium = Over 2 years since last service and/or machine is out of time, needle bar position is out of adjustment, needs intermediate parts replacement, will not form stitch properly, or needs a Solvent clean. Includes 6 month warranty on service and parts replaced. Parts required are not included in service price.

Overhaul = Over 2 years since last service and/or machine is bound, frozen, or machine needs major parts replacement; i.e. gears, cams, timing belt, shaft, hook, needle bar, electronic board replacement, looper, etc. ** A quote may be required in select situations. ** Includes a 1 year warranty on service and parts replaced. Parts required are not included in service price.

Pickup and Delivery = We now offer pickup and delivery services for machine service clients. $10 for Burlington and Waterdown. $30 for Hamilton and Oakville. All other locations are quoted on a case-by-case basis. Please note that we do not pickup/deliver cabinet sewing machines unless they have been removed already.

* We Recommend basic service if your machine has been in "storage" or idle for longer than 1 year.

** We service MOST makes and years of machines.

In some cases (specifically non-Husqvarna Computerized) we gladly service but do not repair. Please always check if your machine is under warranty and requires a brand certified technician.

The Tune-up is always completed, if no replacement parts (or less than $35 extra) are required.

*Replacement parts and Repair Labour are extra at shop rates.

If these are necessary, and more than $35 extra, the customer is contacted for approval of an estimate.

If the customer declines the estimate, a minimum handling charge applies:

$15 sewing machines, $25 sergers, or we dispose of machine in lieu of payment.

If your machine uses items that are different than the list below, please provide what is required to do a switch to the coverstitch.

**Note: Repair Department sets up machine and serger according to Industry Standards.

Bert has also trained our Staff to properly assess and assist our customers with their sewing machine and serger performance questions.

If our staff can't figure it out, Bert will!
