At the Store: Elaine is in the store at least once a week. She is best contacted by email and is always willing to answer questions about classes.

Elaine first remembers sewing with her mother as she sewed for her and her sister. She attended Ryerson Univesity and earned a degree in Food, Nutrition, Consumer and Family Studies.
After teaching Family Studies for 32 years in Hamilton she accepted Elsa's invitation to be an Education Consultant for Sewing Machines Etcetera. She co-ordinates the classes, communicates with the customers and creates supply lists for the classes. In 2009 she (almost) single-handedly organized our first annual sewing retreat. It was such an enjoyable time for everyone who participated, and she looks forward to planning for successive retreats.

When she is not at the store she enjoys sewing for friends and family. All the staff have been recipients of her sewing skills, something we all look forward to! When she is not traveling or sewing, her 2 daughters are the main focus of her life.

Elaine has traveled a lot with her husband Ray, and has been inspired by sewing and fiber arts around the world.
