Nick Kottelenberg
At the Store: Nick is in Monday through Friday and the occasional Saturday. He also works the Husqvarna Viking booth at the Creativ Festival every year, so be sure to stop by and say hello!
I certainly wasn't raised sewing like most of our staff, but I married into it! One of the first gifts Erika gave me was a thread-painting of a rose and a letter while we dated long distance. I have always admired the things she made for herself and now for the kids and our home. Little did I know when I married Erika that I would eventually take over the family business!
I joined Sewing Machines Etcetera in 2007 as store manager, and the learning curve began. Since then I have accumulated a lot of knowledge about the sewing industry and the people and products that make it thrive. I have even learned to sew, and occasionally surprise Erika with a little something like her new laptop cover from a pattern by Amy Butler.
In 2009, Erika and I purchased the family business. I am excited to take Sewing Machines Etcetera in new directions with classic and innovative classes, and by growing our on-line sewing community. I know I will enjoy the ride, and hope you do, too! The picture I have attached summarizes what I love outside of my job... My sports (Leafs), pets (cats), and my daughter (Annelise)... and not pictured... the rest of my family, Erika, Asher and little Rebecca! Though most of the time I am in the office,if you see me around in the store, feel free to stop and talk... I will warn you though: I love to talk and tell stories
